About this Episode
David Henry is the founder and CEO of Vue Jet, a Dallas-based private aviation brokerage and charter company. Before aviation he spent 18 years as Senior Vice President at CBS Radio DFW. The reinvention from radio sales executive to private-jet broker is the spine of the episode.
In this conversation, Henry walks through the trigger moment for the 2010-2011 pivot from radio into aviation, the actual mechanics of selling a $20 million jet (who buys, why, and how the deal really gets done), and what changed permanently in 2020 about who flies private. He also covers the Vue Jet model, what a Tiger 21 Educational Partner actually does, and how an SMU Cox marketing degree, a Mustang Band background, and a Royal Oaks Country Club Rolodex turned into a private-aviation business.
